Feeling incredibly blessed by friends and family... it's been a whirlwind of good-byes (or "see you laters") since saturday morning with my family in SD, and we'll be saying our final see you later tomorrow morning as we board our flight to Philly at 10:25am. After 2 nights in Philly we are being bused to New York JFK and will fly from there to Paris (8-9 hours ish) and then on to Niamey, Niger (another 5 ish hours I think??).
We feel as though it's been quite the journey already and we haven't even left... In the last couple of months we have been fortunate enough to be able to spend quality time with family and friends and have made some outstanding memories in the process. It's impossible to put into words how blessed and humbled we feel by our friends and family over the last few weeks with the love and support you have poured out. Thank you to all of you and please know we love you and couldn't do this without you.
We wanted to let everyone know we won't have internet access for at least the first 2 months after we arrive in Niger (and even after that it will be quite sporadic). Our immediate families will receive an email saying we've arrived safely, but outside of that we will be relying on good 'ol fashioned pen and paper for awhile. That being said, PLEASE WRITE!!! :D

This will be our mailing address for the first 9 weeks of service, after that we will find out where our actual post will be for the next 2 years.... we will update this blog as we are able with our new address and news of our experiences.
